- Turmeric powder
- Red chili powder
- Mustard seeds
- Vinegar
- Hing/Asafoetida
- Methi/fenugreek
- Salt
- Mustard oil
How to make amla pickle (step-by-step guide):
Making the amla pickle is quite easy. You just need to follow some steps.
- Take 500 grams of amla. Wash and clean them with fresh water.
- Now boil the amlas for 5 to 7 minutes.
- The segments of amlas will come off automatically.
- Keep it aside to become cool.
- In the meantime, dry roast mustard seeds and meethi.
- Grind them into a coarse powder.
- Now, combine turmeric powder, red chili powder, and the ground seeds in a separate bowl.
- Mix the amlas with the spices.
- Now heat 1 cup of mustard oil and let it cool.
- Pour the warm mustard oil over the amla and spices.
- Ensure the amlas are fully submerged in oil.
- Stir it well to coat everything.
- Transfer the pickle in a jar and keep the jar sealed air tight.
